A Grad Track Pathway (GTP) offers early provisional admission to a master’s degree program to exceptional undergraduate students and enables these students to earn coursework credit toward their master’s degree while completing their bachelor’s degree. Specifically, two graduate-level courses (six credit hours) can be designated in the Chemical Engineering Grad Track Pathway application to apply toward the bachelor’s degree (possibly as technical electives) and then also toward the associated master’s degree.

Degree programs

  • MS in Chemical Engineering

Benefits of the program

  • Up to six credit hours of 5000-level or above Chemical Engineering coursework to be counted for both BS and MS degrees as “shared credit”,
  • Lower undergraduate tuition rates for the classes taken for shared BS/MS credit,
  • GRE not required for admission,
  • Possible admission to a different MS program,
  • Research project, if thesis MS is chosen, able to start before completing BS degree (more use of undergraduate research), and
  • Up to six years to complete non-thesis MS, plus one or more graduate certificates of interest, at your own pace and via distance/online courses.
