Alpha Chi Sigma (AXE)

A professional and social fraternity for men and women in the chemical sciences. The organization participates in various philanthropic, social, and volunteer events.

American Institute of Chemical Engineers

The professional society for chemical engineering students. AIChE holds biweekly meetings where they host guest speakers from industry to give students the chance to network and learn more about chemical engineering companies. They also hold plant tours, corporate mixers and give department tours to prospective students.

Chem E Car

The student design team that creates cars powered by chemical reactions. With their own lab located in Bertelsmeyer Hall, Chem E Car constructs shoebox-sized cars that must stop at a set distance given an hour before competition. They compete every spring in the AIChE Mid-America Regional Conference.

Student chapter of the world's largest scientific society. The organization works to promote the advancement of chemistry and provides valuable networking and education resources to its members. It was founded in 1960 and originally called the W.T. Schrenk Society after Walter T. Schrenk.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

The National Society of Black Engineers is a dynamic organization that provides a safe and inclusive space for people of color on campus while offering opportunities for professional development. The Missouri S&T chapter of the Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) connects students of various Hispanic, Latin American and other backgrounds. Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

Missouri S&T student chapter is part of the Region I District of the Society of Women Engineers. On average, SWE has over 100 active members, most are members at the national level. Both female and male students of all majors ranging from civil engineering extending into IST and business departments actively participate in the organization.
